In all honesty, his writing is on the simple end of fantasy. But I know I personally fell in love with his characters. They were my best friends through my childhood. They still kind of are.
The characters are always the point. They make the story. And that’s what I love about this; Eddings knows...

David Eddings books are like a big cozy blanket for me. They are my adult security blankey. I read them at least once a year.
I have a few like that. I don’t know why, but I cling to writing styles that remind me of myself or friends. So this will probably become one of them.
